Splendiferous is a vision collection of incredible songs that I feel needed to be shared with the listeners’ heart. I personally compiled the songs in a flow that speaks to me and tells a story, outside of time. The songs are assigned and designed to unite and celebrate humanity and bring healing and intimacy. I invite you to turn it up and join us for a glorious ride and enjoy ‘The Summer of Santana!’ It’s going to be Splendiferous!” says Carlos Santana.
Splendiferous Santana focuses on the too-often-underappreciated, yet creatively fertile period after the huge success of Supernatural. Santana released a series of remarkable recordings–among them 2003’s Shaman, 2005’s All That I Am and 2014’s Corazón–that stand with the best that Carlos, or his band, have ever made. Many of these songs and performances were overlooked at the time of their release and are being presented anew on Splendiferous Santana as essential musical elements in the Santana canon.
Today, music legend and guitar master Carlos Santana releases the single “Yo Estare,” featuring Ally Brooke, from his star-studded masterpiece Blessings and Miracles. The song can be streamed on all platforms and is available on the Blessings and Miracles vinyl edition, out now via BMG.
Written by hitmaking chart-topper Diane Warren and Claudia Brant, “Yo Estare” is the Spanish version of the song “Break,” an aching and poignant ballad that features the spellbinding vocals of former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke. Here, she duets with Santana band member Andy Vargas alongside Santana’s deeply poignant guitar lines – melodies that swoon and sigh to dizzying effect, with a crescendo to a solo full of chilling trills and bracing chordal passages.
With Blessings and Miracles, Santana delivers one of the most ambitious, inspired, and magical records of his storied career, which “finds the guitar hero once again celebrating the spirit of collaboration” (Forbes). There are genre-bending, hook-filled celebrations featuring Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, G-Eazy, and American Authors, thrilling feats of bravura musicianship that pair the guitar master with fellow icons like Chick Corea and Steve Winwood, and knockout rockers with Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Living Colour’s Corey Glover, among others.

“Meeting once again at the intersection of American pop and Latin flair, [Rob] Thomas showcases his signature vocals over Santana’s dizzying guitar, congas and a lively horn section…there’s a similarly gigantic energy [to ‘Smooth’] on ‘Move’ that’s fit for both afternoon cookouts and dance clubs.” – San Francisco Chronicle
“‘Joy,’ as its title suggests, is a celebratory, uplifting track, though that euphoria is couched in a heavy, yearning groove that blends elements of reggae, blues, gospel, and country.”
– Rolling Stone
“On ‘Move,’ it sounds as if 22 years never passed since ‘Smooth.’” – American Songwriter
“[‘Move’ is] a summery Latin rock single” – Billboard
“As per the name, the track [‘Joy’] is a joy to listen to, and was composed by [Santana and Stapleton] with the intention of being a ‘healing force’ to combat ‘fear in the world’. And how do the duo go about achieving this goal? Well, with some irresistible guitar licks, smooth grooves and dense vocal swirls, of course.” – Guitar World
“The latest album from the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and San Francisco icon follows a similar formula to 1999’s triumphant ‘Supernatural,’ with a guest list that is just as sparkling…But the most meaningful additions for the Latin blues rock pioneer are probably the vocals and keyboards from his son Salvador on ‘Rumbalero’ and the lead vocals by his daughter Stella on ‘Breathing Underwater.’ – San Francisco Chronicle
“It’s the best kind of duet album, allowing Santana to sound like himself while at the same time allowing guest artists to do what they do best.” – RIFF Magazine
“A genuine representation of Santana’s music as they roll into another decade.” – Ultimate Classic Rock

Blessings and Miracles is one of the most ambitious, inspired and magical albums of Santana’s storied career, on which the legendary guitarist aims higher than ever. “The title of this album comes from my belief that we’re born with heavenly powers that allows us to create blessings and miracles,” Santana says. “The world programs you to be unworthy of those gifts, but we have to utilize light, spirit and soul – they’re indestructible and immutable. Those are the three main elements on this album.”
In addition to the above talents, Blessings and Miracles sees Santana collaborating with a diverse host of brilliant artists, writers and producers including Chris Stapleton, Steve Winwood, Chick Corea, Rick Rubin, Corey Glover, Kirk Hammett, Ally Brooke and Narada Michael Walden, among others, on genre-bending, hook-filled knockout musical celebrations.
“It is an honor to co-join with Diane Warren and G-Eazy on ‘She’s Fire.’ Diane has an incredible gift, vision-awareness ability to paint a picture to transport the listener to a place of emotion and passion. Her lyrics and arrangements are a part of the world’s musical tapestry and should be forever cherished. ‘She’s Fire’ has an insatiable vitality and G-Eazy’s vocals bring the song straight to the listeners heart.”
From Santana’s forthcoming, star-studded album Blessings and Miracles, “Move” also features the vocal talents of American Authors
Multi-Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana has announced that the first single from his star-studded, masterful new album, Blessings and Miracles, is “Move,” the much-anticipated reteaming of the music legend and guitar icon with famed Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas.
The knockout track, with also features the vocal talents of American Authors, will be released to radio on August 18, ahead of the full-length album, which will be issued worldwide via BMG on October 15.
Music fans have breathlessly awaited another pairing of Carlos Santana Rob Thomas, whose 1999 multiple Grammy-winning smash “Smooth” became a worldwide staple – and the two performers have smashed all expectations and turned in a new classic.
“‘Move’ came about was very much like how ‘Smooth’ happened,” says Santana. “It was like divine intelligence behind the scenes, and I just knew I had to record it with Rob. The song is about awakening your molecules. Ignite and activate yourself – you know, move. When Rob and I work together, we have a sound that’s splendiferous.”
Right out of the gate, the song is a winner. Santana’s vibrant opening guitar licks set things ablaze, and then we’re off on a grinding, grooving, swaggering, swaying and altogether breathtaking mix of pop and Latin rock with sure-fire hooks for days. Thomas is dynamic, sensual and utterly magnetic, and he’s ably backed by the punchy vocal talents of American Authors (especially the band’s Zac Barnett, who takes the lead spot in the second verse). Santana matches these supreme performances as only he can, with scintillating solos that explode with tectonic force. A lively horn section hits from all sides, and the song is highlighted by a hyper-drive chorus that defies inertia.
Ahead of the release of Blessings and Miracles, Santana and his band will mark their long-awaited return to the concert stage after a year off. On August 25, Santana will resume their multi-year residency at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas (shows run from August 25 thru September. 4, with additional dates from November 3 thru December 11).
Santana’s Blessings and Miracles tour begins on September 11 at the Borgata Spa & Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, and will make stops in Richmond, VA, Orlando, Augusta, Tulsa, and more before it concludes on October 2 at the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, OK.
